The Union Cabinet has approved on Saturday the Unified pension scheme in which there is a guarantee of 50% pension, family pension and it also assured a minimum pension to Government employee.
This a major decision taken by Central Govt for the Central govt employees. Apart from DA, this can be treated as Dusshera bonus all the Central govt. employees.
The Govt. also approved the continuation of the three umbrella schemes, merged into a unified central sector scheme namely ‘Vigyan Dhara’ of the Department of Science and Technology.
The budget required for the implementation of this scheme comes around Rs 10579.84 crore as per the 15th Finance commission for the period of 25-26.
In addition to this, the Govt. also approved the proposal ‘BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment and Employment) Policy for Fostering High Performance Biomanufacturing’ of the Department of Biotechnology.
