Jani Master has been suspended by the workers’ union and the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Several media reports posted on September 19 state that he was taken into prison in Bengaluru and would be moved to Hyderabad.
The allegations of rape and criminal intimidation, according to Actor Jhansi, the chairperson of the Chamber’s team looking into the allegations, might result in legal action under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The PTI has now verified that the accused has been the subject of a POCSO Act case.
He offered her a position as an assistant choreographer two years after they first met, and she took him up on it. She asserts that the sexual attacks occurred thereafter, citing one instance in a Mumbai hotel where they were staying for a performance alongside two other male dancers.

She said that once, he and his wife went into her room and gave her a slap.
