North Korean leader Kim Jong Un conduct suicide drone tests

North Korea leader was present when there were test going on for suicide drone test.

Amid escalating tensions with Washington and Seoul, Kim, shown at a desk flanked by advisers, has been modernizing his nation’s military and expanding its nuclear capabilities.

According to KCNA, the North Korean leader oversaw the test while on a visit to the Academy of Defense Science’s Drone Institute.

Kim stated that Pyongyang’s military should acquire drones “as soon as possible” and that worldwide trends in military technologies and contemporary warfare demonstrated the significance of drones in warfare.

According to KCNA, Kim demanded the rapid development and manufacturing of a number of devices, including underwater suicide attack drones, reconnaissance and multipurpose attack drones, and explosive drones for use by special operations and army troops.

Kim declared that the Pyongyang military should purchase drones “as soon as possible” and that the importance of drones in modern warfare was proved by global trends in military technologies.

Kim reportedly ordered the quick creation and production of several weapons, including underwater suicide attack drones, attack drones with multiple uses and reconnaissance capabilities, and explosive drones that the army and special operations forces would deploy. All of these demands were reported by KCNA.

On Monday, August 26, 2024, official media announced that North Korea had debuted a new “suicide drone.” Leader Kim Jong Un was in charge of a test flight for the weaponry, which experts speculated may have originated in Russia.

Images released by state media showed Mr. Kim, wearing a cream baker boy cap, grinning as he observed the drones blowing up targets with the help of powerful binoculars.
