Saif Ali Khan is stable, and the knife has been taken out to stop the spinal fluid leak. Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan suffered injuries after an unnamed assailant repeatedly stabbed him inside his Bandra residence while attempting to loot it. According to reports, the actor is safe following surgery.

An unnamed assailant broke into Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai house Thursday and stabbed him at least six times.

Following surgery at Lilavati Hospital, the 54-year-old who suffered damage to his neck and the area around his spine is said to be safe.

According to the police, the alleged assailant tried to loot the residence by entering through the fire escape at around 2:30 in the morning. However, the accused stabbed the actor as he attempted to step in.

According to sources, Taimur and Jeh, Saif’s sons, as well as his wife Kareena Kapoor, were in the house when the incident occurred.

Mumbai is the “safest city” in the nation, according to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who responded to the shocking news. Following Saif’s stabbing in the early hours of Thursday, opposition parties such as the AAP, NCP (SP), and Shiv Sena (UBT) questioned the state of law and order. This prompted his response.

“It is incorrect to claim that these kinds of incidences make Mumbai a dangerous place. The safest city is Mumbai, a megacity. Speaking to the media, Fadnavis stated, “It is incorrect to claim that Mumbai is unsafe based on a single incident.”

Additionally, Saif Ali Khan’s team issued a statement asking the “media and fans to be patient”.

“A break-in was attempted at the home of Mr. Saif Ali Khan. He is having surgery in the hospital right now. We ask for patience from the fans and media. Police are involved. Saif Ali Khan’s team released a statement that said, “We will keep you informed on the situation.”

Six times, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed; a portion of his knife was taken away.

Nitin Dange, a neurologist at Lilavati Hospital who conducted the surgery, told the media in a statement that the actor had two deep, two intermediate, and two superficial wounds. He also mentioned that a piece of a knife that had become trapped within the body had been removed.

“At two in the morning, Saif Ali Khan was brought to Lilavati Hospital after allegedly being assaulted by an unidentified person. He had a knife stuck in his spine and suffered significant lesions to his thoracic spinal cord. To fix the leaking spinal fluid and remove the knife, emergency surgery was done.

The plastic surgery team also treated two serious wounds on his left hand and one on his neck. I’m pleased to report that Saif Ali Khan is now fully stable, recuperating nicely, and not in any danger,” Dange continued.

The actor was stabbed at least six times, according to an original statement made by Lilavati Hospital earlier in the day.

Months had passed since two guys on a motorcycle, purportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Bandra home before the attack on Saif Ali Khan.

Actress Raveena Tandon also questioned Mumbai’s law and order situation, claiming that public figures are “soft targets” and that attacks on them have increased. She hoped Saif recovered quickly.

Law & Order Regarding Opposition Questions in Mumbai
Following the event, Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Rajya Sabha MP and spokesperson for the Shiv Sena (UBT), stated that the attack on Saif Ali Khan calls into question both Maharashtra’s Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Mumbai Police.

“What a shame that Mumbai sees another high profile attempt on life, the attack on Saif Ali Khan yet again raises questions on Mumbai Police & the Home Minister,” Chaturvedi wrote in a piece for X.
