The horror comedy Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has continued to run a spectacular pace at the Indian box office. In its second week, the horror comedy has risen to become the biggest grossing Hindi movie ever made.
In its opening week, the most recent Rajkummar Rao movie brought in a total of Rs 307.80 crore.
Subsequently, the movie’s second Friday and Saturday grossed Rs 19.30 crore, second Sunday grossed Rs 40.75 crore, second Monday grossed Rs 20.20 crore, second Tuesday grossed Rs 12.25 crore, second Wednesday grossed Rs 10.40 crore, and second Thursday grossed Rs 9.10 crore, bringing the week two total to Rs 145.80 crore.
As of this Thursday, the second, Stree 2’s total receipts stands at Rs 453.60 crore. With this, Shraddha Kapoor’s most recent movie has surpassed the second week’s earnings of movies like Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, the Hindi version of Baahubali 2, directed by SS Rajamoulki, and Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.
Jawan’s second week at the domestic box office brought in a total of Rs 136.1 crore in revenue. In contrast, Animal brought in Rs 139 crore during its second week of sales in India. According to Sacnilk, the Hindi version of Baahubali 2 earned a total of Rs 143.25 crore nett, while Gadar 2 brought in Rs 134.47 crore nett during its second week of release.
