Fans were taken aback by Salman Khan’s cameo as her ex-lover, though. Salman portrayed an HIV-positive guy who passes away in the film’s climax, in contrast to the stereotypically “macho” roles he played in the early 2000s.

Salman agreed to appear in the movie for just one rupee, according to a recent social media post by the film’s producer, Shailendra Singh. “At that time, and even now, Salman Khan is one of the biggest youth icons. The main actor’s story revolves around his HIV diagnosis and eventual demise. “I called Salman Khan that day because the entire industry said no,” he remarked. HIV causes Salman’s death at the climax. Although his admirers were clearly unhappy, the film’s message was seen across the country, he said. Salman Khan made a lengthy appearance in the movie. The movie tracked Shilpa Shetty’s character when she was wrongly fired from her work because she tested positive for HIV. In the movie, Abhishek Bachchan portrayed Shilpa’s attorney.

Revathi had previously disclosed to Rediff that Salman Khan had approached to be a star of the movie after learning about it from Shilpa. Salman was told about this movie by Shilpa.

Then he gave me a call and expressed his desire to take part. I contacted him ten minutes later to find out if he was serious. Did he really want to be part of this film? Yes, he replied. He worked on this movie almost for nothing wow,” she remarked.
